What We Believe

Many people know God in a very limited way, not enjoying on-going life-giving experiences with Him. Aware of God largely in an external religious or formal way, they are unsure of the presence of the Holy Spirit within. Lacking a connection to their deeper selves, they experience hollowness, emptiness, a longing to be filled.

God’s people often carry a deep agony in their souls. Devoid of a living religion, they develop coping mechanisms, often leading to neurotic or addictive behaviors as a means of escape from their isolation and angst. Their souls remain dry, barren, spiritually dead … devoid of the breath of God (Ezekiel 37:1-5).

What is the solution? God promises to put his Spirit within us: “I will put my Spirit within you, and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land” (Ezekiel 37:14). We must learn to draw up into our consciousness what God has placed in the depths of our being.

We Can Experience God

Christianity makes possible personal experiences with the living God. The wonderful news conveyed to us in the New Testament is that God has come to dwell within the hearts of men and women. Jesus Christ declared that the kingdom of God had come and was to be experienced in us (Luke 17:21).

The kingdom of God about which Jesus spoke is an inner reality that we can know and experience—now, in this moment. When we are born anew, we have access to this inner kingdom, enabling each of us to experience God’s life within us. However, we are blind to seeing the kingdom of God as an inner spiritual reality until our spiritual senses begin to function … by revelation brought by the Holy Spirit.

Need Spiritual Rebirth or Conversion

We believe that entrance into the kingdom of God requires us to be born from above—we must experience a spiritual rebirth or conversion. As a spiritual being, Jesus Christ the Son of God could function in the spiritual realm. However, in order to become like us, he had to be born as a natural human being.

We humans are born as natural beings, but in order to function as spiritual beings we must be born a second time—from above, the spiritual realm. Once we are born of the Spirit, our human spirit is quickened, making it possible for us to function effectively in the spiritual realm.

The Holy Spirit, The Power Of God

Real Christianity offers a source of inward power to change lives─the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the trinity. One of the key differences between sterile religion and Christianity is that there is a resurrection power at work within each person who believes … the power of the Holy Spirit to transform and heal us, and enable us to do the works of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit is the same person who brooded over the waters, came down upon Jesus when He was baptized, was upon the prophets of old, and filled the people at Pentecost. Jesus said that it was better he go away so he could send the Holy Spirit to be with us and in us (John 7:38-39; 14:17). The Holy Spirit is the power of God and is here to teach, guide, comfort, and lead us. “It is the Spirit who gives life…” (John 6:63).

If we want to become free, whole, spiritual people of God, we must be empowered by the Holy Spirit, just as Jesus was, “… you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me …” (Acts 1:8).

Truth Sets Us Free

“When the Holy Spirit comes, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13). His Truth revealed through the eyes of the heart penetrates to the core of our being, tranforming our identity and character. His living Word brings healing into the wounds of the soul and heals us of our destructions (Psalms 103:4), destroying the lies anchored within us.

As we learn to place our faith in the power of God (I Corinthians 2:5) and listen to what He tells us, we become more emotionally and mentally healthy. Seeing the living Word with spiritual eyes, we are empowered to break free from illusions, distortions, and untruths that have dominated our lives. We see God, others, and ourselves more clearly. Alive and aware, we become transparent, authentic, life-giving people of God.

The Kingdom Within

Jesus Christ likened the kingdom of God to a great treasure hidden in a field—in the field of our souls, waiting to be discovered and claimed for ourselves. We can know this kingdom directly, using our spiritual senses─in dreams, visions, prophecies, spiritual thoughts, intuitive perceptions, angelic visitations, and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

When we discover this kingdom within ourselves, we begin to experience growing wholeness and completeness in the outer fabric of our lives. Our awareness expands, we express creative energy, and our lives become increasingly meaningful. In the Bible, healing also accompanied the preaching of the kingdom—people’s faith increased, and they were healed.

In order to experience the kingdom of God within us, the eyes of our spirit must be opened. Revelation from the spiritual realm cannot be taught in words; it comes only by sudden insight, an “aha!” experience deep inside. This is a work of the Holy Spirit, an activation of the heart to receive truth. We need to pray for revelation and insight into spiritual reality (Ephesians 1:16-19).

Functioning At A Deeper Level

God is a Spirit and wants His people to function as spiritual men and women. No longer infants—drinking spiritual milk fed by others—we trust the voice of the Holy Spirit to teach us and to lead us into new pathways. In the New Covenant, God promises to put His Word in our hearts and minds. As spiritual sons and daughters of the Living God, we must learn how to function from the deep heart, use our spiritual senses, draw up the living water and give it away to the world around us.

God Still Speaks Through Dreams And Visions

Throughout the Bible and church history, God has often used dreams and visions to help His people. Both the dream and the vision have been very powerful instruments that deeply impacted the lives of people. Through them people received guidance, direction, and revelation from God. Mother Theresa said that a dream in which she encountered Saint Peter provided her the direction and energy for her ministry.

Dreams and visions release God’s living word in a way that affects us deeply inside, creating faith and courage. They carry a power that can heal us and change our lives. God ministers to us through our dreams, bringing comfort and help and encouragement. Dreams carry clues that help us discover more about ourselves on our journey to wholeness.

God Desires Our Wholeness

We proclaim one of God’s great goals is to make us whole individuals. He sent Jesus Christ to bring us restoration, salvation and redemption. Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and to set the captives free. His work on the cross includes healing and wholeness for the whole person. Healing is a word rich in meaning, and speaks to completion and wholeness. Interwoven into the work of  Kairos Ministries is our longing to minister this healing and wholeness into the lives of God’s hurting people.

Adventuring With God

Kairos Ministries, Inc. is dedicated to bringing the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit into the lives of people who earnestly seek him. Our programs inspire people to become adventurers with God. He wants to enlarge our tents, expand our territory, and lead us to do things we never thought we could do. This requires us to trust God. We affirm and proclaim this: we can trust the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us.

Statement Of Belief

Kairos Ministries, Inc. is committed to the central tenets of the Christian faith:

·           There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

·           Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, and through His shed blood, death and resurrection, we can receive forgiveness of sins and newness of life.

·           The baptism of the Holy Spirit, with resultant gifts of the Holy Spirit, is available to every Christian who believes in Jesus Christ.

·           By nature of the new birth, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, His blood and His body, and the sacraments of baptism, and His Divine Power, God has provided everything we need pertaining to life and Godliness (2 Peter 1:3-4).

·           The Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by holy men of God under the guidance, influence, and direction of the Holy Spirit.
