European Ministry
Germany
In 1983 God revealed to Judith that she would have a ministry in
Europe. For nearly five years she nurtured this word from God in
her heart. One night a dream came, giving her the sense that she
needed to link up with her brother, who lived in Frankfurt,
Germany.
Through a rather unusual set of circumstances, Judith was then
directed to a holistic clinic in Bad Herrenalb in the Black
Forest. There she met the psychiatrist who had established the
clinic, Dr. Walther Lechler, who invited her to do a brief
internship in the clinic. Stepping out of her comfortable
routine, Judith accepted the challenge to see where it would
lead.
Is There A God?
When a bedraggled woman in a café by the clinic asked Judith,
“Can you tell me if there is a God?,” she realized many people
are seeking God, but don’t know where or how to look. Somehow
they need permission to go beyond their normal limitations and
seek a true relationship with a loving God. Judith opened her
heart and, drawing from the well of living water within her,
enabled the woman to receive something special from God.
Inspired by the divinely appointed cafe encounter, everywhere
she went, Judith shared her faith in a living God who cares for
people’s needs. She taught many people how to break free from
legalism and learn how to be led by the Spirit into new liberty
in Christ. As a result of moving out in faith on an unfamiliar
course, Judith has led a life of adventure and discovery, and
God has brought her many wonderful experiences that have
enriched her life.
Opening The Door To Europe
Between 1987-1991, the Lord prepared the way for Judith to visit
several clinics in Germany devoted to healing the soul and
spirit. In 1991, because of her spiritual experiences and
expertise, Judith Doctor was invited to work for six months in a
German clinic in Bavaria that specializes in healing the whole
person – soul, spirit, and body. Later, she published an article
in the Journal of Christian Healing about her experiences
in the clinic.
As a result of this work, Judith established many wonderful
friendships and made contacts that helped open the door for her
ministry in Europe. In 1994, because of a dream, Judith began
ministering in Germany once or twice yearly.
She addressed the Full Gospel chapters in Wolfsburg and
Braunschweig, and the Women’s Aglow chapter in Frankfurt, and
spoke to Förderkreis (Association for Medicine of the Whole
Person) in Bad Herrenalb. She also presented workshops at
clinics in Oberstdorf and Wolfsried.
Living In Germany
In 2002, again because of a dream from God, Jerry and Judith
uprooted themselves from a comfortable life in the USA and moved
to Braunschweig, Germany. Their purpose was to teach God’s
people how to minister inner healing. In addition to conducting
workshops and groups, they encouraged many people by sharing
their lives and engaging in faith-building conversations.
Radio Ministry
During this time, the Lord also opened up an opportunity for
Judith to have a monthly one-hour radio transmission on
Radio Horeb, which is affiliated with Radio Maria in Rome.
This teaching and prayer ministry reaches audiences in several
European countries via cable and satellite. It is also
accessible via the Internet. She continues doing this program,
focusing on inner healing through the Holy Spirit, from her home
in the USA via telephone to Germany one Sunday morning each
month.
Judith’s adventures in Europe are an inspiring example of how
God fulfills His promises. Although it is now more than 20 years
since God first revealed to her that she would have a European
ministry, the word is still active in Judith’s life. Whether she
is addressing a prayer group in a large cathedral in Munich,
sharing with a fellowship group in a small Bavarian village, or
teaching on Radio Horeb, she carries this word in her heart.
Romania
Jerry & Judith’s ministry in Romania has been active since
Judith first visited the country in 1999 after many years of
praying that, if God would open the door, she would go. When the
kairos moment came, many opportunities opened up for
Judith because of her background in nursing. She conducted a
workshop in Bucharest for leaders of the Association of Nursing
in Romania and addressed the student body in a nursing school.
She also talked with many other people in a variety of
situations, offering comfort and encouragement.
Since then Judith has presented workshops in Romania at a
number of forums: volunteers of ProVita in Bucharest (1999,
2000, 2001); staff of Ratiu Leukemia Foundation in Bucharest
(2000); institutionalized teen girls in Medias (2000); workshop
for mothers with babies at the Center for Social Work in Medias
(2000); hospital nurses in Piatra-Neamt (2001). She was also
guest speaker on Radio Voice of the Gospel in Sibiu (2000,
2001).
Judith was a speaker at the National Conferences of the
Association of Nursing in Romania, held in Bucharest (2000,
2001), and at the International Conference on Nursing in
Romania, held in Pitesţi (2002). She has also published two
articles in Asociaţia De Nursing Din România journal.
Going Forward In Europe
We continue to look to
the Lord for His guidance for our ministry, and we expect to
minister again in Europe as the Lord directs us. Please pray for
Europe and pray for the ministry that the Lord has yet for us to
fulfill there in the future.
